Environmental – Responsibility by choice
In Hyland we concentrate on a combination of policies, processes and the use of environmentally friendly products, so we can run a sustainable and responsible operation. The freight forwarding sector can give proof of sustainability with conscious ecological actions and Hyland relies on various measures to achieve this goal:
- At a customer’s request, we will make use of transportation methods with a lighter impact on the planet such as low-fuel-emission vehicles or vehicles powered by sustainable energy
- Our modern vehicle fleet with Euro 5+ trucks keeps our environmental impact ‘on the road’ as low as possible
- As a matter of course we look to eliminate dead mileage by taking a multimodal approach and by maximising load capacity
- Intelligent routing and the optimum allocation of resources serve both the environment and our customers
- We consistently search for and use location-based, environmentally-friendly resources. For instance, 100% of our electricity is supplied from wind power initiatives
- We responsibly recycle packaging materials
- We organise the return of special-purpose transportation equipment to ensure its reuse
